Another hard-drive dead. They seem to die on me no matter what I do. All my photos are gone.
Eh. I guess this is as good time as any to start my photography anew. Maybe it will be better this time

I spilled coffe on my laptop. And now it says it doesn't have a hard-drive and I should instal an OS. And I feel the need to share it with as many people as I can. And I think crying would  be appropriate, too.

I knew coffe at 1am was a bad idea. Fuck you Python coursework, it is all your fault. I wouldn't even be up at this hour if not for you. And now I can't open my laptop to dry it, can't use it for a day or two, but have a deadline on Tuesday. So I have to use the library computers, and they've got annoying keyboards.

There is one small advantage of this situation, though. I'm in the library* at 2am. Libraries are awesome after midnight.

*_{Yes, I'm in doing my homework while everyone else is out clubbing. I'm sad like that. The club is about a building away from the library, too.}

So. I finally got through the Pay/Send part of my UCAS application - took me few hours to get used to the idea that I'm sending it. My teacher/referee should get it and send it back for corrections and write my reference soon - by Monday or Tuesday, I hope. I want it done and gone before the universities fill up.

I'm applying for Computer Science (with the intention of going into Artificial Intelligence later) at Bristol, Bath, York, Edinburgh and Southampton. I really hope to get into Edinburgh, but since I heard they prefer applicants to have previous programming experience, my chances aren't high.

But to get into any of there unis, I need to start revising loads of maths. I'm re-sitting almost every maths exam, plus doing 2 new ones in January - so out of 8 exams I'll be doing, 7 are maths. It will probably cost a fortune to resit 6 exams, and I feel like blaming my maths teacher for it, but I can't really.

Next time you see me submitting anything, do kick me to remind me to revise.

But now I have an excuse to stop writing and end this mostly pointless journal - I have to go and help my mom and sister make dumplings. So good night

Hey guys, there’s due to be a DevMeet in Sunderland /South Shields on Saturday, September 25th. For all ages(different to previously planned)


People wanting to meet up in Sunderland should meet in Park lane at about 11am, I suggest the best place to meet would be the seats just outside of the metro entrance. From which we will get one of the ‘E’ busses,(I have yet to check exactly which bus it is.) to outside of the ‘South Marine Park’. When we arrive here, we will meet any other Deviants, outside of the ‘The Sea Hotel’ at approx. 11.30am


The first half of the afternoon will be spent having a picnic in ‘south Marine Park’…after which we shall move onto the Beach if the weather is good. If it is not we will end up in the Pleasure Beach’s amusements. The whole thing should finish at about 6pm (Though it could be a lot earlier, or a lot later. Depending on weather, and other variables)


As it is a picnic event we should all bring something, whether it’s sandwiches, drink, crisps, etc. (it’d be really helpful if you could comment or note ~DrBonesMcCoy if you’re willing to bring things; just so we can organize who brings what; we don’t want to end up with too much of one thing, and not enough of the other)


If you shall be meeting in Sunderland and getting the bus to South Shields, I suggest you bring at least £3.50 for a day rider (if you are 16/17/18) if you will be travelling back to Sunderland too. If you’re -15 then £1.40 should be enough; (70p each way) of course if you’re planning in taking part in the amusements/buying extra items more money will be needed.
