River Derwent (I think, I'm not sure), Gibside park/woodland.
Its quite amazing how suitably long exposure and slight decrease in brightness and increase in contrast can turn an ugly dull brown river into something reasonably pretty!
Its also quite amazing that this came out sharp - I didn't expect to take many photos so I couldn't be bothered to take my tripod... how is it that every time I take it with me, I never have to use it, but when I decide to leave it at home, I find that I need it for most of the photos?

That's really quite interesting... post-processing can work wonders, I admit.
I like how sharp this is, but part of me wishes that the background wasn't sharp and that the river was... if you get what I mean? Seeing as we are focusing on it, I think.
The background could be desaturated a bit, or maybe you could add a vignette so that we focus on the river more? I feel as if you could crop it as well, but that's just me.
